So I've grown very weary of people that label themselves as 'conservatives', 'republicans', 'evangelicals', and all manner of others of that ilk. And you wanna know why? Here's a few for starters...



1) Absolute lack of community.



Apparently the worst thing that can happen to these people is that everyone else in the world doesn't think the way they do. They don't want to pay ANY taxes, but...

- they want a huge military so that they can invade whomever they see fit,

- they want firemen and policemen to protect their huge homes and expensive property,

- they want excellent roads to drive their damned SUVs and luxury cars on,

- they want a huge jail system to incarcerate everyone that commits a crime,

and the list goes on. I don't see what the problem is. If I make a lot of money, then why wouldn't I WANT to pay taxes so that I can help support the government that has helped to form the environment in which I have been able to succeed in? To me it just screams of selfishness.

2) Complete and utter lack of compassion for others.

They all hate immagrants (read Mexicans, Illigals, etc.), people on welfare, people who think that a woman should have the right to decide what goes on with their body, gay people, and pretty much anyone else who isn't white and rich. Now THAT'S being a 'compassionate conservative'!!! "Go back to YOUR country!", "Get a job!", "Don't ruin the sanctity of my marraige!"

Ahhh...don't you love the sound of self-righteous hate?

3) Readiness to assign blame rather than work to make things better.

- APPARENTLY this failed economy based on unchecked capitalism and a credit-based, deregulation-happy mindset is in fact the fault of Bill Clinton...Oh, and Barack. Deregulation has worked so good in the past...

- APPARENTLY this failed war which we are sacrificing other people's lives for is going to be 'lost' if anyone pulls out anytime before the turn of the next millenium. The past years, we've been winning, didn't you know? Oh, and incert anything you'd like here on how the people that want and support this debacle in Iraq aren't paying anything for it. Certainly NOT increased taxes!! (We'll just borrow money from China until it's over, and then everything will be fine...)

- APPARENTLY basic civil rights are not for everyone. Heaven forbid anyone who is homosexual (Ooo...scary!) should dare to demand equal treatment. I mean, it's bad enought that women want to vote, and minorities want to share drinking fountains, but you have to draw the line somewhere, right rich white people?

- APPARENTLY the environment going down the crapper is just fine, as long as it means that anyone can drive around in huge automobiles and pay less than two dollars a gallon for gas. Katrina was a warm-up. What's going to happen when all of the major cities on the coasts are underwater due to the increased ocean levels brought on by global warming? You know, places like Miami, New York, Boston, Houston, New Orleans, Tampa, Seattle, San Francisco, etc...


Okay...pant, pant...gasp... I better take a break for now. I DO feel a little better, though. Thanks for 'listening'. :-)

This blog will be an attempt to channel some of the pent up anger and frustration that I otherwise would bury deep until something (or more likely someONE) pushes me over the edge and I snap!! If you are reading what I post, then you will get a look into my brain, so consider this fair warning! There will probably be a lot of drivel that pores out of my ears and onto the keyboard.

If nothing else, maybe you might find some entertainment out of it. And I can at least have the satisfaction of saying what's on my mind, or at least what's left of it...
